Hyperthermia

It was 1980 that a state of the art radiation therapy department was started as a part of comprehensive cancer centre. It was a small sapling then; over the next 25 years, it has grown into a mammoth banyan tree offering shade and succour to all those in need.

Hyperthermia is about heating tissues from 41o C to 45o C. An RF based heating system from Japan was installed a few years back. A record number of head & Neck cancer patients have been treated so far.
